Thank you to all who helped with the 2024 Camporee!

Attendance

On April 19-21, 2024, El Camino Real converged on the Loma Linda campsite at Firestone Scout Reservation for its annual District Camporee. This is the third year that we've held camporee after our district merger.

What a great event!

On Saturday, the day of competition, close to 600 people were in attandance, between adult and Scout campers and day visitors. Despite the large attendance, everything ran fairly smoothly with only minor inconveniences.

A total of 23 Troops attended, with 62 patrols total.

Event Ribbons

Event competitions were scored based on total points earned. All events were weighed equally. The top 4 scores for each event were split into four awards: Presidential, First, Second, and Third place. Based on this, ribbons were awarded to the top patrols for each event station:

Top Troop

Finally, we recognized the Top Troop at Camporee. The award was determined using a point-weighing system based on the number of ribbons earned by each patrol in each troop.

Troop 286 earned the spirit stick as the Top Troop at Camporee!. They repeat as the top troop, as they won the award last year (2023).

Congratulations to Troop 286 on a job well done. They are now tasked with decorating the spirit stick to indicate their Troop, and then bring it to next year's Camporee for presentation to next year's winner.

All awards were presented at Saturday night's campfire. It was great to see everyone's energy!
